The Global Business & Leadership Institute’s Master of Science in Global Business, Religious Philosophies & Culture provides students with the capacity for transformational leadership through the application of business principles in the context of religion and culture. The degree program highlights the impact of religious philosophies and world cultures upon business principles and their application in foreign contexts.

BUS 501
Start-Up Business Processes, World Religions, and Culture
4 Credits
Introduces the basic relationships between world religions, culture, and business processes. The course examines how business scans, proposals, and plans should be informed by the local culture. Students gain a working knowledge of how to craft business scans, proposals, and plans in light of selected culture venues.
BUS 505
Entrepreneurship and Religious Philosophies
4 Credits
Focuses on the fundamentals of religious philosophies and their impact on entrepreneurship. The course examines various world philosophies (including those held by the student), and their interactions with basic concepts of entrepreneurship. Students gain a working knowledge of entrepreneurship principles, adaptability, and scalability in the context of various cultures.
BUS 601
Cultural Ethics and Financial Principles
4 Credits
Covers the relationship between cultural ethics and financial principles. Students gain a working understanding of cultural and ethical norms concerning: gross profit, margins, COGS, net price, wholesale price, and retail price.
BUS 603
Inter-Cultural Relationships and Religious Philosophies
4 Credits
Introduces how complex cultural relationships interact with and are impacted by religious philosophies. Students learn about: cultural identities versus business and personal identities, the importance of location, community relationships, and sustainability.
BUS 605
Marketing, Sales and Cultural Norms
4 Credits
Focuses on strategically applying marketing and sales principles per cultural and religious norms. Students gain a working knowledge of the difference between bringing an established versus new product to market, selecting cost structures, identifying consumers, and building growth models while considering the impact of culture.
BUS 607
Religious Philosophies, Governments & Practices
4 Credits
Seeks to introduce students to the complexities of world governments and the shaping effects religion (or lack thereof) has upon governments and practices. Students will gain a working knowledge of accounting practices, tax systems, and various tools to help navigate a global marketplace.
LED 701
Research Capstone I
3 Credits
Emphasizes the finalization of the capstone research project. This project seeks to compile all learned concepts from the 1st semester into one coherent document that can be applied to an assigned culture. Students are provided with individualized support for project completion by assigned faculty members and select outside reviewers.

Research Capstone II
3 Credits
Emphasizes the finalization of the capstone research project. This project seeks to compile all learned concepts from the 1st and 2nd semesters into one coherent document that can be applied to an assigned culture. Students are provided with individualized support for project completion by assigned faculty members and select outside reviewers.
Accreditation
Due to the religious nature and focus of our degree program, GBLI has decided not to seek accreditation at this point. GBLI's focus will be given to academic excellence and the hands-on, experience-based approach often lacking in comparable degree programs.
